This week we’re changing the format of our weekly news round-up slightly by giving you the headlines of the news items we cover up front. This way it will be easier for you to scan the contents in order for you to jump to the articles that interest you most quickly. We hope you like it. Here are the topics of this week:
Know that feeling when you fly back home from a business trip or a well deserved break to come back home to an empty fridge? Yes, but there are tons of take-away options you say? Well, that’s true but then you’ve had someone else’s cooking while you were gone. Plus, eventually you’ll need to fill that fridge up again. So, what to do?
This week has been one with a wide diversity of airport stories. We received news about a gold heist, a landing gone “belly up”, a flight to the wrong airport, an introduction of a new airport shopping experience, a baggage handler strike and a supercar used for taxing planes.
We’ve seen a rather weird 7 days this week as only small news articles trickled into our newsroom. Most articles contained news of either some post-Boston-explosion nervousness or smaller airport incidents from around the world.
It’s been a massive week for airport related news. Unless you live under a rock, you probably heard of the airport heist in Belgium. However, aside from this biggie there were also other interesting news from airports in New Delhi, Hamburg, Calgary or Brisbane to name a few.
It’s been the first real weak after the festive season when most people got back to work resulting in more airport news. Interestingly three pieces received us from Australia this week – our home country. But we swear we had nothing to do with any of these little stories directly though!
It seems the airport news follow the volatile recent climate – you never quite know what you’ll get. So, this week has been relatively quite and we’re going to focus on four interesting stories from around the world.
We could nearly brand this weeks news an all-British update as so many news pieces this week arrived from the British Isles. However, we worked hard to find three other news flashes from Australia, Brazil and the U.S. to mix it all up a bit.
And again it’s been another week of full airport news related inboxes. This week we received airport news from Peru, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the USA and from Australian and Singaporean airlines.
Less than a week to go to the London 2012 Olympics and tensions are high with a few major issues still waiting to be resolved. One of them is the announced strike of the British Airport Guards – more about that later. We also have 2 airport news stories from Australia and the delay of the week is coming from the United States.
